SAMANTHA and Galo

"Galo proposed at the OCMA (Orange County Museum of Art). Art is an important part of my family - my parents are collectors and we grew up learning about art. He told me we were meeting my family there to see the new museum. When we arrived my family wasn’t there yet. He said we should just walk around while we “wait” for them to get there. We walked out to their courtyard and he asked a couple of girls to take our photo in front of this giant statue. As we went to take the picture he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was overwhelmed with happiness and said yes before even looking at the ring. The ring was a true labor of love between Galo and Mirta de Gisbert. I have a 23 year old parrot who I have had since he was 6 weeks old and I was 10. His birthstone is sapphire so Galo chose a pear shaped diamond with sapphires on the side. He jokingly commented “I know I am marrying both of you”
